6 Minute Heart Score ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
 

1. Information We Collect

Health and Fitness Data. The App uses Apple HealthKit to read heart-rate and related workout data (such as heart rate during and after exercise) so it can calculate your heart recovery score. This data is read from HealthKit only with your explicit permission, which you grant through Apple's standard Health permission prompt. You can revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.

Data You Enter. Any information you manually enter into the App (such as profile details, age, or sex used to personalize your score) is stored to provide the App's functionality.

Purchase Information. If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive anonymized subscription status (active, expired, etc.) but never your full payment card details.
 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Calculate and display your heart recovery score and related metrics;

• Personalize your experience and track your progress over time;

• Manage subscriptions and provide premium features;

• Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the App.
   

3. How Your Health Data Is Stored and Shared

Your HealthKit data is processed to generate your scores. We do not sell your health data, and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not share your health information with third parties except as strictly necessary to operate the App or as required by law.

In accordance with Apple's requirements, any health data accessed through HealthKit is never used for purposes other than providing you health and fitness functionality.  
6 Minute Heart Score™ stores all profile data and protocol history locally on your device. If you enable iCloud syncing, your data will sync securely across your personal devices via Apple's infrastructure; the developer never collects, stores, or has access to this data.
 

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may process limited data on our behalf:

• Apple HealthKit / iCloud — health data access and device services;

• RevenueCat — subscription management;

• Apple App Store — payment processing.

Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy governing its handling of data.
 

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the App's services. You may delete your data at any time by deleting the App from your device and revoking Health permissions, or by contacting us at the email below.
 

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
 

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at the email below.
 

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
